Below Are Answers To Frequently Asked Questions Pertaining To The Upcoming Extended Rifle Season At Fort Indiantown Gap:

1. You must possess a DMAP Tag to participate in the extended rifle season between 26DEC-1JAN and between 20JAN-24JAN

2. The extended rifle season is for antlerless deer only.  Although not illegal, please make effort to avoid shooting shed bucks and button bucks.

3. You must wear blaze orange while participating in the extended rifle season.

4. A-32, A-33, & A-34 will be open for in-line muzzleloaders.  See #1-3 above.

5. You must possess a Firearms Access Permit to participate in the extended rifle season in any training area in the corridor (B's, C's, D's) and E-01.

6. You do not need a special tag, firearms permit, or blaze orange to hunt archery or flintlock from 26DEC-19JAN. 

7. Sunday Hunting is not Authorized in 2026

Boating Permits are NOT Available until Construction of the Marquette Lake Dam is Complete

 

Reminder: You must watch the safety brief video before permits will become available to you.

 

Hunters seeking to enter the controlled access perimeter area of Fort Indiantown Gap will need to have a pre-registered form of ID. All hunters should visit the Vistor's Center during business hours,(7am-3pm Mon-Fri excluding holidays), with a printed copy of their Hunting Permit and a Valid Government Issued Identification to register your Identification.
